Purpose of the Photoshoot: To create a stylized, atmospheric visual story that blends rural folklore with contemporary art-object aesthetics. The project explores fragility and texture through everyday materials — paper and straw — set against a vivid, constructed environment.
Concept: At the center of the composition is a female figure dressed in a costume made of paper and paper mesh, with a straw hat completing the look. Surrounding her are symbolic props that create a narrative setting: cardboard boxes, a rooster and hen, a clay jug, a basket of apples, and a dried bouquet. The overall scene balances between performance, theater, and fashion installation. It’s not a literal depiction of rural life, but rather an abstract staging of the theme “natural vs. artificial.”
Lighting & Technique: Four light sources were used. Two of them, with orange and blue filters, illuminate the background to create depth and a rich color contrast. Two main lights softly shape the model and the still life objects in the foreground. The focus of the shoot is on texture, materiality, and layered visual storytelling.
Styling: The paper costume emphasizes fragility, impermanence, and artificiality. The straw hat introduces a rustic reference and functions as both accessory and symbol — part tradition, part mask. The surrounding still life elements — both living and dried — serve as visual metaphors tied to the land, harvest, and human labor.
Result: A series of 12–15 artistic photographs, styled in the spirit of folk-inspired visual art, with a strong focus on lighting, form, and symbolic detail. The project is well-suited for art exhibitions, editorial publications, or conceptual portfolios.
